bulbs in dash??

how easy is it to replace bulbs in the binnacle (with the speedo and tach in), the oil pressure bulb has gone and seeing as it is pretty important i better replace it. is it a bitch of a job to do or what??

Not too bad, can be done in about ten mins.

Need to take off the long thin plastic panel above where the top steering column cown disappears.

The panel above your knees will need to come off to do this.

Then you will see the various screws needed to be undone to remove it. Top and bottom. You will pull off the plastic surround first by undo four screws. :D

A dealer will be easiest as you wont have to rip the dash open, take out the bulbs then re assemble it and get the bulbs from a motor factor and then do it all again.

Unless someone can give the name of the right type of bulb and wattage....

I think they are 3 watt push ins with no metal ends, just a U shaped glass end with wire wrapped over the ends.

agree there mate but there are two sizes i think the oil light is the smaller one?

It's possible (just) to replace some of the lamps by reaching up underneath after just removing the panel above the driver's legs.

i think ill try that next time m8 good tip i broke the small panel dave was on about above thats how i found the two nunts behind it ( well one after the one i lost :lol: )

I managed to do it and it was pretty easy even for a muppet like me. I removed the steering wheel for added easiness as well.

although I did manage to snap my cluster bezel :mad:
