I was told that when you get an e30 tracked, its sposed to be weighted.. now i went n got mine done yesterday n they didnt put weights in the footwells.. is this right? what effect will it have?

For just front wheel tracking - very little difference if any.

For proper 4 wheel alignment including camber etc the car should be weighted and usually includes a full tank fuel.
So if you ever get the rear done with eccentric bushes or KMac adjustable rear bushes then make sure the car is weighted.
