fuel pump

after taking the black top casing off, you'll see the top of the fuel pump. note there is 2 gaps in the flanging bits. tap them anti clockwise with a hammer and screwdriver or chisel bit to unscrew. the rest is obvious by looking.
straight forward enough job for most basic home mechanics.

Don't you wish there were a knob on the TV to turn up the intelligence? There's one marked 'Brightness', but it doesn't work.

Remove the 4 nuts holding the fuel sender unit in first and remove it. If you don't remove that on its own you won't get the fuel pump out.

Slightly more involved on a touring. The seat bases, the carpet under the bases and the hinge bar for the seat bases has to be removed first.
