My rear strut top mounts have gone and are knocking again, I only changed them about a year ago.

Is there an upgrade that will last longer?

Much appreciated if anyone can help.

Thanks

Pav,

The most common upgrade is the E46 M3/Cabrio rear top mount. Cheap as chips from the dealer, and a direct swap for the E30 parts.

Mine have been fine for years.

Turner motorsports in the US (www.turnermotorsports.com)
do ones with a "lifetime (as long as you own the car) warranty".
and
they also do rebuildable ones

Much apprieciated Ian.
Do you know if Europarts or GSF sell these, as the dealer is only open till 12 today and will have to order in the part?

Pav,

I just checked the ECP website, and they do list the E46 cabrio mount under part number 609110620 - Ԛ£10.13 + VAT, but it shows as 'no stock'. GSF don't list them at all.

It's possible the dealer may have stock. Give them a call and ask if they have any 33 52 6 754 096 - approx Ԛ£12 inc VAT

Cheers,

Ian.

Easiest way to change/fit these is to undo the bottom damper bolt, and the two smaller nuts on the mount. Remove the damper and top mount as one piece, and fit the new mount on the workbench.
