Are the diff covers the same on a lsd and a normal diff?

Yep , but be ware e30 s have 6 bolt or 8 bolt rear end diffs as long as its like for like no problem

im not sure about the end cover but i know if you wanted build an lsd you have to use a 2.5i shell, none of the others will suit! so there is a differance somewhere.

the lsd from the small case does not fit the bigger case.
