where on the engine is the engine number

where on my engine can i find the engine number?

i'm guessing somewhere cast into the block, but where and how many digits?

it's an m30 but similar to m20 i guess

Hi Toby,

If I remember corrrectly (it was only a month ago I had to write mine down!) then it's located on the lower part of the block just above from the sump, on the AFM side, mine was 8 digits.

Yeah i had to get mine over a pit to get the engine number, its in the same place on an M50.
