Hi all. Newbie with a gearbox problem.......

My 325i auto transmission is screwed. Does anyone know if a 320i autobox will fit and work the same? I can lay my hands on one quite easily, but may have more trouble finding a good one for a 325i.

realoem.com suggests they are different parts, but I thought they might both fit.

Has anyone tried this before?

Thanks.

Yep it will work , i m running a 2.7 litre on a 320 auto box , but i did fit the much igger torque convertor of the 325/ 327 as i believe the torque of the larger engine wil soon srew up the smaller one t(here a big diefference in size )
i believe thery are all HP22 boxs differences to look for are std box or switch able auto box you must fitt like for like or alter the loom and aget an extra auto ecu ecu

Thanks. That's a big help. It's the toque converter that's probably screwed, so I'll keep looking for a salvage 325i with the right converter.
