Just out of interest, would it be possible to put the gearbox from a Manual '89 320i into an AUTO '87 325i Sport to replace the knackered one (and obviously have the advantage of being manual)? Im not very technical so I would probably pay someone to do it. Just wondering if its possible as I have 320i and have seen a Sport for sale with a worn gearbox very cheap. I have no idea if the ratio's would be any good for it. Im assuming they would be closer so you would have better acceleration?
