I have got some LEDA colovers on a 325. Can I transfer them over to an M3 and just replace the front bearings with 5 stud etc. The brakes are not a problem.
I know the strut setup looks different on the 325 to an M3 BUT is it that critical.
It will just save me one lot of cash if I can.

Karlp,
E30 front struts are totally different on the M3. When Leda make the front coil over for the M3 they use the lower part ( spindle )of the front strut.
You cannot simply just change the stud pattern by changing the front wheel bearing. Your best option is to sell your front struts and spend the money for the correct ones. If you order from leda they will require your front struts from your M3 which leaves it off the road for a few days. Give them a call, they are quite helpfull.
Unless you are going to do a lot of track days, its not worth the cost for Leda`s just to have on the road. The schnitzer kit is the best compromise for a road car with limited track work. Have a look on S14.net and do a search as there has been volumes written on this subject.
Send me your e-mail address and I will send you some pic`s of the E30 M3 Leda front suspension.
Goodluck,

Thanks for the info.
The car is totally track - and yes I would not put LEDA on the road. I will get the M3 struts changed.
