Just a quick update. the new hood piece arrive from Germany today and have just finished fitting it to the casing. I had to mill, grind and drill the old case to make room for the new stainless steel piece which took 3hrs!! but i have to say guys its a fantastic fit, well worth the Ԛ£80 or so. This time the case cant break - ever. superbly engineered piece. Next bit - how do you set up the hood agin - the syncronisation bit? cheers.

1993luxdrop...
which fix did you go for and why from these 2?

there seems quite a difference in price, the first one is around Ԛ£140 yet you you paid only around Ԛ£80. did you email him in english and pay by paypal/cheque?

does anyone have any experience of the second one?...looks ok for about Ԛ£60...and less work to fit!

also have you managed to get your hood motor setup working correctly?..... is it easy to do?

I saw the first one but wasnt convinced. and its expensive for a simple piece of metal. i went for the second one from e-bay. the chap now speaks english and accepts paypal all for Ԛ£80 its all fitted. im just waiting for a new rod (mine got bucked) when that arrives ill try the re-synchronisation proccess, which doesnt look fun at all and i just know it wont work. lol.
