My passenger side sill has a rather large hole in it caused by the dreaded rust. The rear arch is also extremely bad, and will need replacing.

Should I replace the sill whilst i'm at it or just weld the hole up?

How much would I be looking at to weld in a new sill (not the filling and painting etc...)

Thanks

It depends...
Small hole = weld patch
BIG hole = replace sill

I gota do this myself. both rears need patches.
Im not replacing the whole sill for a hole about the size of a small pea.

However. THESE were patched up... and thats a BIG hole...

it is a big hole, about the size of a jam jar lid....

Surely if I cut all the rust out and treat it I can weld over it? I dont mind welding on a patch myself, but fuck replacing a hole sill!
