All,
Have just come accross a good diff from a 318i touring and wondered if it could directly replace the current diff on my 325i touring ( mine is a wee bit whiney at present ). I understand acceleration would be better but top end would suffer ? Has anybody else tried this ?
Cheers
George
318i diff on 325i ?
Moderator: martauto
would imagine acceleration would be good top end would be crap and fuel econemy would be dire
I have a 318i diff in my 318i fitted with a 2.5 engine.
It's standing up to the abuse so far, but it is low geared, the car will pull away in 3rd no problems
Acceleration is excellent, havn't tried it on the motorway yet, but it's leathal in the wet unless you are very carefull.
Depends what you want I s'posse, acceleration or crusing ability!

All E30 diffs are physically interchangeable.cefiro_drifta wrote:do u know if auto diffs fit in as im tempted to get a 318 auto diff in my 320 .. that should give it great acceleration and drift really well when welded
