hello dudes

just done this modification over the weekend.

the thing is i feel that it could be even shorter than this or am i being greedy now?

it feels shorther but not as much as i was expecting, id say its about 25% shorther than before...

i used the shifter on the write-up page which i beleive is the z3 1.9 version. are there any alternative ones i could use? or will they make it tooooo short?

another thing is that i didnt have to bend the selector rod as it had already been modified (looks like a vice job) to clear the vibration damper, so if i actually take it out and put a bend in it will this add to make the throw shorter?

cheers

Hi mate, I did this mod in sseptember and I'm now thinking about making it shorter, you can use a 2.8l Z3 stick or a Z3M Coupe one, the one in the write up is from a 1.9. Apparentlt the OE BMW short shift is the mutts nutts but it's like Ԛ£120

yeah, i just done a search and geeman is also quite happy with the z3 2.8 lever, i dont want it be stupidly short, just a bit shorter than the z3 1.9, and the z3 2.8 lever sounds right

i think ill replace as many bushes as i can whil im under there this time too
