Hi my horn hasn't worked for ages. I have removed it from position behind front fogs on right hand side. Now can anyone tell me which horn I need from GSF and what the differences are?

The 3 choices are:

93631 HORN-12V General Use 12V VEHICLES Ԛ£6.00
93632 HORN-LOW TONE General Use Ԛ£8.00
93633 HORN-HIGH TONE General Use Ԛ£8.00

Thanks for the help.

My 320i cab is LHD as I'm in italy, made in 1988 and has crome style bumpers, don't know if model and year has any bearing on the no. / type of horn???

I replaced mine as it was full of water and mucky sludge.
I got a High and Low from GSF as this then makes the "Dual Tone" sound. You need one of each in order for it to sound right... otherwise it sounds like a scooter in one respect or a 10 tonne lorry in the other.

HTH!

Generally, the E30 comes with either a single tone (usually Low) horn, mounted behind the front kidney grill, or a pair of horns, one Low, one High, each situated behind the front foglights.

You need to look closely at the horn/s you have removed to identify which one is which (I am presuming you have 1 faulty, and removed that ? Or have you removed both horns ?).

I would personally change both while the opportunity is there to have a new set.

Just make sure you get 1 Low, and 1 High tone, if that is indeed the setup on your car. I think it should be !

Cheers, I will have a closer look at the Fiamm (original part I think?) horn I removed.... only found 1 horn behind the fog lights on right hand side but did not look very hard as wasn't expecting to find another..... are they mounted on same side??

Will investigate more when I get time, cheers.

I think there is 1 horn behind each fog light. Can't remember for sure, but I'm fairly positive.
