Never come across this one before, but no relays are involved after the switch, so, yes, it probably is the switch.
Flip it out of the panel and pull the connector off to confirm.

i pulled the switch off, and it showed the foglight still on, on the dash!
will investigate in the morning!
both bulbs are fine, could it be a wire touching?
where is best to start looking?

johnono - the switch sub panel is held in by two small nuts at the back on studs moulded into the subpanel, IIRC.
Never tried to get at them on a dash that's fitted to a car, but I expect you might have to remove the ECU and it's mounting plate to get at them.

e30bemer - I said in my previous post that no relays are involved, but IIRC, some cars have a more complex arrangement involving relay K9.
If it's fitted in the fusebox, pull it out and see what happens.

right ihave looked at the rear clusters and there is no corrosion!
checked all looms around and no wores touching!
and the bloody thing is still on!
Is the foglight meant to stay on when the ignition is completly turned off, and side lights switched on?
any help please as it is really pi**ing me off
