Seems odd that an engine speed related judder would be coming from the back.
All the gubbins from the back to the prop is road speed related.
It's definately from the back?

The easiest solution is to keep it above 4Krpm
. Actually that mightn't be so easy but not only will it stop the juddering but it will mean you are always in the power

I've been trying to solve this with my car
I get acceleration vibrations through 2500-3500 rpm in all gears although it's most noticeable in first. Doesn't make an audible sound, you just feel a shudder coming from what feels the rear end.
I'm replacing gearbox mounts this w/e as they're worn out. Have already replaced the driveshaft mount and bearing and am onto my 4th diff at the moment (trying to find best ratio) so have ruled the diff out. I've also checked all my engine mounts and they're okay.
Being RPM related it makes sense that it's either the engine or g/box mounts but Murphy's law says it'll be my driveshaft universals as they feel a little clunky and they're the costliest to replace as the front half shafts aren't so common here in NZ.
I am hoping for my wallets sake that it's just the g/box mounts.
Hope that helps

well i can tell you it aint the gearbox mounts as i replaced mine when i put a new engine in.
Im thinking it may be the rear bushes, but how do i know if these are cream crackered?

This could be caused by any number of things unfortunately.
You can check bushes visually but some aren't so easy to see.
My instincts are that it's your prop centre bearing that needs replacing. These are often prone to wearing and this is about the age that they get replaced/need replacing.

Just wanted to say that I replaced my g/box mounts on the weekend and my vibrations went away - probably due to the fact that when I undid one mount I discovered it had sheered completely in half!
