Anyone know how the "spoiler" at the top of a touring tailgate comes off?
Can't see any obvious fixings.
I'm looking for a place to fit a more conventional nozzle for the rear washer. Fed up with washer water rorring out the insides of the wiper motor.

It lists clips on the ETK, but I have removed 2 of different tourings now (both M-tech spoilers) and they have both been fastened with some kind of grey glue/sealant, with no clips involved, so just pull quite evenly working your way back and forth, and it should eventually come away.

I'm not sure myself, but you may want to remove all the plastic trim on the inside of the tailgate to see if there are any fasteners poking through. I can't imagine that it's just glued on. Doesn't seem like BMW's style...

I bought some clips before removing the spoiler ready for when it was time to re-fit, and the clips don't go through anything, they just clip into a ridge above the window, so even if the clips were fitted, it would still be a case of pulling until it comes free.KDS wrote:I'm not sure myself, but you may want to remove all the plastic trim on the inside of the tailgate to see if there are any fasteners poking through.
