whats the max width alloys u can fit on the back of the following without "major" arch mods
i. a 325i sport
ii. an e30 M3
eg cud u squeeze say a 17" x 10" on an m3 or 16" x 9" on a sport
alloy width

Not to sure mate, but i think it also depends on the height of the ride. Ive seen some guys running 7.5x15 wheels (not a massive size ) and with 225 tires lowerd 50/60mm they have problems.
I wouldnt of thought you could go much bigger than like 9 on the back, and if you were lowered a lot youd have problems.

I have a 60/40 springs and 16x8 (+17 offset) wheels with 205 tyres. There is enough place for at least 9" wide rears, if not more. Well...it also depends on offset and tyre size.
