right here goes swap font n rear suspension off a 325i onto 320i also swap the springs for mtec while shocks r off
are the 320i calipers the same as 325?? or should i change these too?? stuck with rear drums for now till i get discs n pads for the 325 calipers
i already have 325i exhaust on but sounds shite so going back to 320 system think mid box has gone in 325 that why sound shite when i put the 325 system on i also put the 325 manifold but snapped 3studs in the process so are the manifolds exactly the same?? as dont want to risk doing anymore studs in
i know how to do all this but any extraa advice appreciated esp reg exhaust cheers Daz

Hi Daz, the calipers are the same and the manifolds can vary.

Some later 320i's were fitted with the 325i single piece manifold, the output flange is slightly bigger on the 325i manifold.

cheers Iain
looks like rains stopping play today
the 325 system is from an f reg and the 320i is also f reg do you think ill get away with leaving the manifold on and putting the 20i system back on?? really dnt wanna touch the manifold as no spare cash to sort it if it goes wrong plus im planning to do the tb etc in a month or so after hols and will be taking head off to sort the studs and poss skim then
hope i can leave it on and just praying weathers better tmoro as exhaust sounds crap at the moment and not sure its doing my economy any good??mpg figures arent looking good bout 55ish to a tenna although most of it is round streets so may not be that bad?? cheers mate Daz leeds

I'd leave the manifold well alone and just fit the 320i system, broken studs are a pain. I had 2 studs break on your engine and had to drill them out, fortunately the head was coming off anyway to fit a new gasket (oil leaks).

I used stainless steel studs/nuts/washers for the 2.7 to prevent any future problems. I hope to get a 6 branch maybe next year.

No rush for the engine mate 8)
