as you know im puttin my d plate 325 into a g plate 318 shell,ive just hit a brick walll though coz the centre housing on the prop doesnt fit into the tunnel underneath!!! the holes are 10mm out! so do i mess with the bracket (i dont want to coz it wont be central!) or do i need a 318 prop,will this fit onto a 325 gearbox and diff??? i can get a 318 prop easy enough,help please!!! cheers

u can adjust the length of the prop i'm sure as the 4 pot props are slightly longer because of the samllcase diff or something. If i'm on the right trail!

the length is fine,but the width of the centre bit which bolts underneath the car is too wide,i could tamper with it but i darent as i might put it outa centre,does anyne have a 318 prop they could measure?? mines 1490mm from the rear end to before the rubber mount,thanks

Don't understand this thread. E36 centre mount is wider, but all the E30 mounts I,ve ever seen, whatever the engine spec, have been identical.

the prefacelift centre mount and the post facelift are different,not to the eye,but they are different,holes are 10mm further apart and the shoulders are further out on the early 325 one so they hit the underbody before the mount is home! lets hope you never need to understand it as getting the bearings off is a pig!!!
