Can anyone help. I own a 320i (6cl) 88' Convertible and would like to know if the post-facelift bumpers, front and rear will fit either straight on or will a little moding?

Many thanks.

I've recently had the rears only off on both models....

the older chrome type have two bolts on each side, and two brackets at the back with more bolts

the newer plastic type have special plastic erm 'grooves on a square' bolted to the bodywork each side, into which slide the plastic runners on the bumper, and mad t-piece bolts/nuts on the back which have star-drive bolts through metal plates in the plastic bumper... I didn't explain that very well did I?

nothings impossible, but you'd need the bits off the body (especially the mad t-pieces) as well as the bumper itself to stand an even chance

I assume the fronts are just as different - good luck Jim
