I didn't think there was one?
Unless you mean external temperature sensor for the OBC?

I don't think there is one either, howver the ETM/wiring diagrams show an "NTC Inlet temp" this is actually part of the air flow meter.

In case you're interested, NTC is Negative Temperature Coefficient.
...meaning resistance decreases as temperature increases.

Ait intake temp sensor on a M20 is built into the air flow meter housing. Connected between pins 1 and 4 (earth).

Thanks muchly everybody - There's nothing up with the car. I bought one of those adjustable power boost kits from ebay and you are supposed to connect the two wires in line with the wiring to the air intake temp sensor. This is supposed to increase the fuelling much the same as getting your car chipped. Has anybody had any experience with these kits before ? If not I'll try it out on my track car first before I start messing about with my road car. If its any good or not I'll post a reply.

Aye - It was Ԛ£17.90 for 3 kits. A bargain if it works and not much of a loss if its pants.
On a separate issue - how do I get a picture of my car onto my posts ? I'm a bit of a computer rookie.

Ahh not bad then, not the sort of thing I'd use but if it's cheap and works - bargain.
To get a picture up you need it stored somewhere online, most people use some sort of image store (can't think of any names right now)
I use my own webspace to store images but thats more stress.

Expensive for 3 resistors worth less than a penny each.Taylor325i wrote:Aye - It was Ԛ£17.90 for 3 kits. A bargain if it works and not much of a loss if its pants.

Don't even bother fitting it. All it is, is a variable resistor and it tricks the car into thinking it's cold when it's actually warm so it chucks more fuel in to compensate which is a waste of fuel and not healthy for the engine.
