Anyone ever had these changed? Mine are beginning to crack. What effect do they have on the car? Clonking noises? Weird handling?
Any idea on how much to change both sides?

I just got some polyurethane trailing arm bushes put in. They are adjustable for camber and toe. Those sort cost me AUD$295 + shipping. I haven't really had a chance to try them out yet and I'm not sure if the old ones were completely worn out.

If you speak to Clayton Cars they'll tell you they hardly ever change the actual trailing arm bushes as the cracks are usually on the edge and have no effect. They do however often change the beam bushes which is the beam the trailing arms fit too.

Trailing arm bushes are a real pig to fit apprently. Could cost 3 hrs per side in labour.
I doubt I will be bothering to change them if the cracks dont really do much.
Subframe bushes however are knackered on my car so getting new ones fitted when I can be bothered.

And when I got mine changed I found out that someone before me had tightened up the bit of the trailing arm that holds the bushes, or that they fit into. Apparantly they were a bit worn so someone had tried to tighten it to help. So when they tried to put the new ones in they wouldn't fitM5pilot wrote:Trailing arm bushes are a real pig to fit apprently. Could cost 3 hrs per side in labour.
