suspension - 1.8 and 2.5 the same?

As in fitting, will mtech shocks from a 1.8 fit on a 2.5?

Pretty sure they are different - the 2.5 ones uprated in comparison - to take account of the extra weight of the 6 cylinder engine.

Can anyone else confirm this?

hmmm, I thought maybe the spring was a bit firmer to compensate for the weight?

There is a difference in front shock housing. 325 and some 320 models have 51mm housing and other models have 45mm. Also, what sabrje said. I dont know the exact difference in stiffnes but there are different models of shocks and springs for 6 cly. and 4 cyl. cars.

hah that's my old set from the iS..

Is your suspension shagged then sam? your Sport will have the same set up (apart from stronger front springs for the heavier engine) so if you are havin probs then it's probably bushes.

well the fronts are fucked. every bump they knock and rattle.

they seem it, although after checking the enigne mounts earlier today I think i've found the problem
