For some reason or another the front passenger side window on my cab stops working and then starts again. I've checked the pins in the door and they seem to be fine. Can anyone help

Switch is the usual problem. Swap a couple over.

You can open them and give them a good cleaning with contact cleaner as they gunge up inside over time. Be careful though as there are small parts inside!

i've tried swapping the switches over from the other windows & cleaning them with contact cleaner, but its still not working. All the switches light up but just this front one not working.

This sounds like the exact same problem i have, can you hear a very quiet click coming from the motor when you press the button?

My switches also light up but the windows refuse to work :x

Oh i also found the cut off switch, when i activate it there isnt any sounds coming from the motor when i press the window buttons, so that is obviously working fine.

I had this, i removed the motor from the main housing- remove the two torx screws and spray with contact cleaner/ WD40 there was a build of rusty crap in mine.

i also removed the solenoid bit that sits inside the motor and cleaned the contacts with sandpaper and put back together and job done my one works as good as new!!!!

Mr. Sheen on the window runners helps too as it prevents friction and never dries out!!!! An old trick i learnt!!!

One of my Rear Windows, stopped working, the switch just clicked, tried the above, now works perfectly! Top advice. Only problem its a bit slow, going up & down.

Hi,

My cab drivers window (LHD) has had the same problem. I have taken the motor off various times to see why it gets stuck.
Just used the above advice and it was moving up and down just fine.
My problem is that whenever I put the door back together it stops working.

Any clues as to what I can try next ??
This is really driving me mad ..... (have taken door apart 5 times in the last week).
