ive got an e30 m3 convertible and i was wanting to do a few mods, so what i wanna know is:-

whats better? a panel filter or a cold air induction kit, and im talkin about a proper air cone like a pipercross viper or bmc style one that has either a carbon fiber or metal casing to keep the hot air out?
which should i buy?

whats better? an alloy or steel strut brace?
whats better? a single bar or double bar strut brace?
whats better an ajustable strut brace, a 3-piece brace with hinges, or just a normal one-piece bar strut brace?
ive found that sparco do two strut brace's for the e30 m3? steel one at Ԛ£45.74(but its a nasty red colour and 1-piece) or an alloy one at Ԛ£92.24 (but its 3-piece and nicely polished)
which should i buy?
so experts help me out plz. :?

Cold air feeds are a waste of time on these, K&N panels are just not good for the engine. Pipercorss things cost around Ԛ£250, put that towards some proper engine tuning.

If you want more power then get a set of uprated Cams and a remap + bigger throttle bodies if you have the 45mm ones. Anything after that will be stand alone management with carbon firbe airbox (AlphaN).

Strut brace at front good idea. Look for a second hand Eibach one as they dont make them anymore.

Generally the more pieces its going to have the more flexible its going to be.

leave standard air box alone
unless you are going down carbon airbox/plenum and ecu route

strut braces are superb addititions
