Hi guys, I went to the wreckers today and picked up a rocker cover from an E30 that was sitting there. I'd like to have it either polished or chromed and replace it for the one that I already have. Which is the best option, polishing or chroming and why..?

As chrome plating is a 'coating' this would need a little less labour/ machining - so cheeper, but watch for the build up around oil filler cap, and bolt holes, can sometimes corrode at these points too - after a long while.
Polishing ali, is labour intensive and you'll need to protect the results afterwards.
Personal taste really - but chrome is "bling!"

Bead blast it, crackle black paint it, then flat down the raised bits so they look ali polished :bling:
