Story so far.......
just about to remove the cylinder head from the car with the exhaust and inlet manifolds still attached. The head came unstuck from the block without too much effort but its mighty awkward and heavy - any advice on the best way to lift it out - really don't want to drop it at this stage. Do I need to remove the bonnet and lift it towards the front?

Thanks for the reply.

I seem to remember reading a few threads that it was best to leave the manifolds on as, especially in the case of the exhaust manifold, it would be quite easy to break a stud if removed in situ. Bentley manual makes no mention of removing the manifolds before removing the head.

Easyest way provideing theres nothing left attatching it to the car...... Remove the bonnet and get a mate to lift 1 manifold, you lift the other then walk sideways towards the front of the car
