right folks. i just bough a cheap OBC unit off ebay and although it hasnt arrived yet i'm presuming it will come sans wiring. so...... whats the bare minimum wiring it will need in order to function - i'll be happy if it just lights up with the time and can give the range to be honest! or does it require the indicator stalks and gongs and sensors etc to actually work at all.

Hi Scott.

To even light up you're gonna need the wiring loom, which connects the OBC to the Instrument Cluster (where it gets power from) and to the relay control module (you'll need this too).

You don't need the gong, or the indicator stalk, but they are nice extras.

thanks for the quick reply dave, i'll be calling on your expertise i think when i come to wire this baby up if thats ok with u!

ok then, just as i thought i need the loom and main and relay module. has anyone any idea how much these are from the stealer or if anyone is selling separately (not likely) i'd be interested. I think i'll get the temp sensor and gong but the indicator stalk seems pretty unnecessary to me (though a nice extra like u said). :D

No problem at all mate.

Just MSN me or whatever and I'll give you whatever guidance I can.

I imagine a wiring loom would be pricey, but you never know, it's worth a call.

If not, then post in the wanted section, unlikely but worth a go nonetheless!
