Hi all, my first post on the E30 Zone! I've been on the BMWCC forum for the last couple of years. Own a 1973 2002 tii and just aqcuired a 1990 325i Sport, Alpine White with Grey and Black leather.

I'd like your advice on some mods I am planning to make.

Engine - I was thinking K&N panel filter and Big Bore throttle body, where do I get one of these?

Suspension - The car seems to sit lower at the front than the back. I've read about 60/40 drop springs do these sort this out? Do you get a similar uneven drop in say 40/20 dimensions as 60mm seems quite a lot! which type do you recommend (Car has original 15" BBS cross spokes)

Quick shift arms? saw one on ebay for Ԛ£25 or do I go the Z3 route?

Sorry for all the questions, I've had the car a week and I'm just enthusiastic!

Filters don't do much, if anything. Get a chip from chips@e30zone.co.uk

& the BBTB from alpina527@aol.com

Z3 shifter from the dealer's the way forward; details here

I don't think anyone does a 40,20mm kit TBH. if your going 60,40 H&R cup kit. Similar ride to m-tech also, so not bad.

Another excellent combo billy sports with H&R -35mm springs. Or the H&R's will probably work well with the boge ones already on the car if they are ok.

K&N will just give u a nicer sound i expect.

Z3 short shift is a must, it's the 1.9 lever which is most popular

BBTB is a must also! Ԛ£120 exchange basis.

Does your car have the proper recaro option then with half leather? as sports with their seats never came in half leather.

Everyone on here has used the 1.9 lever... apart from me. Although I've got the 1.9 lever in my track car, I experimented and put the 2.8 lever in my Sport. Now that it's settled in, it's amazing!

Welcome to the zone bud!

The 60/40 drop is 60 at the front and 40 at the rear, but I think it does level the car out a bit.

Take a look at Karans sport - http://www.e30zone.co.uk/modules.php?na ... opic&t=434
Thats got the H&R cup kit 60/40 drop and seems fairly level.

Na, wrong spy !

My 2002tii certainly is orange but is pretty standard apart from 15" bbs cross-spokes.
