Okay... so why's it there? If it's to offset the drivers weight (for a LHD car), does that mean it's actually doing more harm than good in a RHD car & we'd be better off getting rid??

Hmmm... from reading around, it appears it's there as an anti-vibration measure. Still tempted to try without though!! Has anyone else done it? Particularly interested to know if the weight of ICE stuff would do instead!! :D

Ive heard of ppl taking it and and saying the handling went up the spout, but its only what ive half heard someplace.
Take it out and go for a blast! :D

been wonderin too!!! surely such a relatively light weight cannot affect handling too much??? that would equate to fcuking up your cars entire balance by popping back from saisburys with a couple of cases of beer in the boot!!
