Seatback as a lost of 'play' in it when in non-tilt position

Second post. Long time viewer, recent owner. Seat back as a lot of 'play' in it when in non-tilt position (5-10cm). Common issue? Any ideas on cause or is it just age?

My money is on one of the welds are broken in the seat framing.

I recovered a driver's seat before now and ended up having to get another seat because when you have the seat cover off you can see the broken weld.

hey read my post 'seats' a couple lower than yours - simular problem and just found out why.Alex
