has the head gasket gone ????

here we go a year ago my 325ise had big overheating probs which ultimately caused head to go or did it???
the engine and all waterways were full of yogurt and was classic head gas signs however when i took the head off the gasket looked new and mint?? what happened???help please
bout a month ago sold my h reg 320i se was running great when it left me however brought it back for pennies 2week later with the engine full of yogurt again but unlike the 325 this time the yogurt has made to the afm and airbox etc yakkk
but after the issues above with the 325 has it killed the gasket??? or is there another reason this has happened??dnt supose a new waterpump could cure this could it?or something else other than headgasket??
if any 1 has any clues i would love to know as cant afford a new head at the moment and dnt really want to break her up but drive is full and wife is nagging help me out lads if i get it running she will back of but at mo theres 4 e30s lined up in different states of repair/strip and she gettin pissed cheers Daz leeds

Gaskets hardly ever go on m20 engines, more likely it was actually a cracked cylinder head - much more common (unfortunately). Although if that had happened, you'd lose all your water pretty quick and the exhaust would be pissing with steam...

not sure what happened when it went as id sold the car and bought it back cheap after when i got it back i drove it just under a mile it started first time and there was no steam although it drove like shit it does start and run coulnt tell you wot water loss was like as its full of creamy yogurt everywhere afm/airbox as well ANY IDEAS???? Daz
