Buzzing!! And nothing to do with the wife!!!

Ok, after the sucess of the new thermostat and fan water pump, then last nights winner with the new fuel pump, it's time to move onto the next problem.

For some reason, this part (unsure what it is) buzzes when the engine is off but the ignition on. Turn the ignition off and it stops. BMK had a look at it and said it shouldn't be doing that, but no one knows what it is.
Can one of you GODS tell me what it is and how I can get it to stop please?

is that not the idle control valve?

Mate, for all I know it could be part off a dishwasher someone has stuck on for a laugh, I haven't got a clue! :oops:

That's the idle control valve (ICV) and it is supposed to buzz with the ignition on, if it doesnt buzz then either the ICV is knackered or the idle control circuit in the ECU is buggered.
