crankshaft sensor

does anyone know if the crankshaft sensor on a 325 controls the spark and injector pulse or just the the spark as my 325 started to hold back when driving then it started to missfire and now it will not start and i have lost spark and the injectors are not pulsing anyhelp please :cry:

The sensor tells the ECU how fast the engine is turning over and the ECU then powers the coil and injectors apropriatly(sp?).

Not sure which of the following three things is most likly to have gone wrong but they all fit your symtoms.

ECU relay
ECU
CPS(crank sensor)

Or a bad electrical connection some where.
