Hi everyone - impressive forum you have here, glad to be a part of the E30 world! Just bought myself a 91 convertible 325i. Really pleased with it so far.

Looking a dropping the front a bit. The back looks ok but the front sits up too high for my liking. I'm trying to work out how much to lower it by though. I've done quite a bit of reading on here but I'm hearing things about Saloon springs, different drops as mines a cab and is heavier etc etc.

Some pictures I look at of 60mm drop at front look crazy low and others look spot on? Some pics of 40mm drop look like some 60mm drops! I have motorsport suspension and don't wanna go a spend a day fitting new springs to find they haven't dropped the front enough or vice.

Looking at the pics I've seen I was thinking of going for a mid way (45mm or 50mm) does anyone make springs of this size??

Thanks!

ive been toying with lowering my cab but havent got round to it, most people go 40mm on the rear and 60mm on the front, there shouldnt be too much variation between ride heights i wouldntve thought. have a look in the e30zone shop, they have a whole section on suspension and the prices are pretty reasonable, why not post some pics of the cab in the photogallery aswell :D oh and welcome to the zone, Tom

40/40 drop on 16 inch rims, springs by Pi... gives a slight arse up stance and does not really make it handle any better or worse

never heard of 45 or 55 seem to be only 40 or 60 (or 80), you could go for coil over height adjustable, also note the cab srpings are specific, if you put coupe/4 door springs in a cab they will drop it more as a cab is heavier
