I would have to do away with the dizzy and mount the motronic one on the end of the cam. But the thing I cant work out is what injectors to use the 2.0L or 2.5L ones I know you cant use the 2.3L ones with motronic, what ECU would you use the 2.0L or 2.5L.
The engine is fitted with a 2.5L inlet/TB and 6 branch

They will fry the motronic ECU.

you could run either 20l or 2.5 but id match them up ie if u use the 2.5 injector get a 2.5 ecu and the airflow as well dont mix 2.0l with 2.5 running gear ive don these conversion myself i have 323i swoped it all to motronic better better

how? 323i injectors are high impedance if that is what you are worried about, check with a multimeter if youre unsure

if you have a set of 2.5 injectors might be easier to us those anyway, also the 323i uses a 2.5bar fuel pressure regulator unlike the 3.0 bar on the 325i - just another small difference.

so in other words the 323i run similar fuel pressure to 20l they are not much different then

You must not use the jetronic injectors they are the wrong impedance, found out that you use 2.0L injectors and air flow meter with custom chip.

white inj from a jetronic are low Z, motronic must have high Z saaturated usnits, the low Z 323 ones will let too much juice back to the ECU and fry the injector FET's

Boots, maybe its a euro thing ?

bizarre - both my 323i's have had high impedance injectors (yellow iirc). must be some different versions floating about

when in doubt whip out the mutimeter!

On the old LE Jet stuff, the 2.0. 2.3 and Eta injectors all have the same flow rate - and the same poxy small bore throttle body. But as you're adding a 325i manifold and TB you're going to be flowing quite a bit more air - would the small 2 litre injectors be enough? A good idea though - the old LE Jet system is okay but the distributor is a pain the arse.
A 320i ECU will be totally and utterly wrong - never mind the fuelling, the ignition timing will be drastically wrong - there's over 10mm difference in crank stroke (meaning a big difference in piston speed) so the spark won't in in remotely the right place. At least with a 325i ECU you'll be fairly close(ish).

My motronic 323 uses the full air intake system from a 325i, the original injectors from when it was a 2ltr, the ecu from a 325 but with the (super) chip from my 320 ecu. Other than that its the same as when it was a 320i. Its also got the exhaust system from a 325 but this type of 323 really needs a 6 branch to help it breathe.

I have now found out I can use the 2.5L injectors so the whole motronic set up will be 2.5L with a custom chip.

Interesting, there was much discussion at the time of fitting as to whether 2.5 or 2 injectors would be better and the 2ltr ones carried the vote. If you haven't already fit your 2.5 ones let me know what the results are when you do cos I might change mine!

The man who is doing me the chip has told me to fit all the 2.5 stuff inlet/TB and airflow meter.

yeah that's what I've got on mine except I pulled out the injector rail and put the 320 one back in. The customer chip sounds interesting though, tried mine with the standard 325i ecu and it ran, but idled really low (but sounding really fat!). Popped the upgrade 320i chip I had back in and it went straight upto perfect idle and hasn't gone wrong since. I'm really interested to hear what your results are with the injectors and this custom chip, as I don't think there's too many of us with these motronic 323's about so would be nice to get a comparison.
