I have just got myself an 89 325 with a blown head gasket. Ive been offered another engine and box with half the mileage (75000) The engine box and head are all seperate. I want to use all these bits. Is it best to assemble it all first and stick it in or seperately. Sorry im new to beemers. Can anyone help? 8O

Hi, it would be a lot easier to assemble first, then drop the lot in place, saves bending over the wings to bolt everything up.

do all the work on the engine first, good time to clean and paint it as well, then drop the lump in.
