Anyone know if you can fit an 89 325i engine onto a 92 318i gearbox?
I know most people dump the auto for manual but she who must be obeyed likes to drive the cab as well.
will a 325i engine fit onto 318i auto gearbox?

I think the housings are all the same but i'm not to sure the tourqe
converter will take the extra horses, if it does you'll probably spend most
of your time wheel spinning away from the lights.
Sounds fun if you can afford lots of new tyres.

Anyone else got an answer? According to the E30 parts manual the 325
and 318 use the same 4HP22 auto gearbox.
