Well, I've finished off rebuilding the bottom end of my engine and should be picking up the head tomoz so I can put that together so I've been milling about doing the little things that need doing.

One of these is to fit the trigger wheel I've got for the Emerald ECU.

I had hoped that the flywheel might have something of use on it, but by the looks of it, the original ECU was updated once a month by a single plip sticking out the side of it :(

Can anyone tell me / post any pics of where they've mounted theirs.

The most practical option at the moment looks like drilling and tapping the meaty bit of the front pulley and sticking it to that, but the problem with this is that it'll mean taking the CPS off every time the fanbelt needs changing.

Cheers!

you can use the stock front referance sensor and pulley off any post 88 motronic M20 to run the emerald dude, I take it yours has twin pulse gens on the fly then alex ??

if so, swop the later front timing cover accross, use the matching pulse gen and pulley and thats sorted.

Unless I missing something in the translation ??

Aah right, that's handy!

Better get into the wanted section then me thinks!

Did wonder why there were two sensors in the old gearbox but no holes in my new one!

Many thanks for that, exactly what I was after :)
