unfortunately the ultrasonic cleaner is down and the flux capacitor is on the blink to so i am just thinking aloud:
if this is just madness then say.
i was considering soaking the injectors in jizer over a couple of days, then applying a constant 12v feed for a minuite just enough time to get the air line on and give them a blow through? would this be considered stupid or pointless?
diy injector cleaning?

I think if you apply a constant current you might melt/fubar the electrics.
Read this somewhere on a porsche 924/944 forum and they use bosch injectors.
There is a place that will clean, test spay pattern and put a new seal kit on for around £11.75 per injector.
I'll put a link up when I get home.

to be honest i was hoping to do it with thinners and a good lung capicity (cheap)
surely the o-rings only cost 4p each
anyway - i dont know them to be bad but i would have like to have been preventative- still cant win em all! thanks

i cleand mine by spraying carb cleaner through them and a 12v feen but i riged up a rely to make a on/off/on/off 12v feed al try and find the link from last time.

You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity
M42 Supercharged 285bhp + M3 6speed box
Thats what I did when mine were totally blocked. Worked fine and got no problems at all.appletree wrote:i cleand mine by spraying carb cleaner through them and a 12v feen but i riged up a rely to make a on/off/on/off 12v feed al try and find the link from last time.
Even tested the spray pattern by extending the fuel line so we could have it away from the car, running the fuel pump and spraying each injector and measuring the angles.
