Ok guys i need some help

on my newly aquired E30 2door,

the passenger side lock is all chewed up from an attempted break in, the key goes in but wont turn either way

on the drivers side door, i can open the door with the key, but cannot lock it.

so to lock the car. i have to sit in, shut both doors, press the lock down on the drivers side, then scramble over to passenger side open door push lock down and get out

Long drawn out uncomfortable process..

so what plan of action should i take? do i need to remove the locks and take them to a bmw dealer?

i read about the central locking relay thing in the tech article, but i dont know if thats what my problem is (on top of the chewed passenger door lock)

so any help will be much appreciated

If its the lock internals that are knackered, I think bmw do a rebuild kit for the lock barrels. Thats what they suggested to me anyway.
