lsd whine

help needed got 325ie rag top and lsd only whines after it warms up when decelerating anybody uot there with any ideas but i dont wanna get another lsd if i can help it :cry:

hello mate and welcome to the zone, always willin to help a e30 nut

first, have a search (serch button in the white bar up there) for lsd, and u should find it all , and theres loads mate

otherwise, just wait for us to find u..
have u changed the diff oil recent?
how many miles has she got?

mabey u can get a used from here, for good money

got a similar problem when i just start up from cold. then its gone for the day
reckon johnono that your advice is sound mate. gonna try it midweek and let you know the result

this dif has only done 50k oil change at 49k but still whining(like the misses) :cry:
i live in bedford so if anybody has any favorite transmission repairers plz help out with some addresses & phone nos thx

you can hear it over the cdafter the car has warmed up you can feel it too through the pedals manual box not auto

If it whines when driving straight then it's the diff (or something else in the driveline), not the LS unit.
Normal open diffs sometimes go on for tens of thousands of miles after they develop a whine.
