I need to dismantle the sunroof: the seal looks quite perished, the top cover is rusty (and I have a good one to replace it with) and the drain channels are almost certainly blocked, as the roof is a bit damp.

* how do I go about dismantling the sunroof?
* is there just one big seal all the way round? (I want to order a replacement before I take it all apart!)

Thanks :)

Plenty of articles in the forum archives about removing the sunroof. Use the search function.
The seal on your car at the moment is probably two pieces, which is available from your dealer, BUT there is also a single piece seal listed which is far cheaper.
Note the seal isn't intended to be waterproof. Its job is to prevent the bulk of water getting in, and to stop wind noise.

Both (two piece) seals are £54.00 from the dealer. The sunroof (complete) is not easy to remove if you have never done oe before, make sure to read the articles first. If in doubt go and have a go at one at a scrapyard before your own.
