Fuse help please

Can someone tell me what fuse 16 should be used for on a 1991 325i sport.

Everything Ive got (haynes etc) tells me it should be heated seats which my car doesnt have, but Ive still got the fuse in place.

The fuse is 15amp and runs to a fairly large white and brown wire in the fusebox, which then disappears off into the cabin behind the glovebox.

Im trying to find a switched live and slot 16 should be one, but I cant see why Ive got a fuse there, when i dont have heated seats.

Can anyone help, its fairly urgent.

Straight out of the BMW handbook...

I *think* all the E30's have the heated seats wiring from the fuse box under the bonnet down to the electrical connection point behind the glove box.

Perhaps someone has just been playing in the past! Have you got a electric sunroof? if so pull the fuse and see if it still works, as the sunroof/heated seats use the same relay.

If in doubt, pull it out and see what stops working

Confirms what Ive got written here.
Thats what I thought about the heated seats. Its just confusing why there is fuse in place. I was wondering if it was being used for anything else.

I was going to try the electric roof but the battery is dead.

Ive got the battery charging now, so I will try the roof tomorrow and see what happens.

Just to confirm - Fuse 16 is a switched live that will be live in Acc, Run and Start positions??
