I'm getting a knocking from the rear of my car at low speeds

I think it's down to either incorrectly fitted handbrake shoes (replaced these over the weekend) or the lsd. Had it's MOT yesterday and fear they might have put it on the rollers, despite me asking not to when I booked it in. Would this be a symptom?

Wish it was better weather, would be more inclined to check the brakes first!

check the rear shock absorber bushes, they are the rubber bushing at the top of your shock absorbers inside your boot under the carpet. easy to check just climb into the boot and have a mate bounce it up and down. worth checking first. My sport had a similar noise and was only that. (although it was a knocking going over small bumps)

Slightly off/on topic....

When you have an LSD is the car not supposed to go on the rollers for an MoT then?

I've heard this before, but I'm unsure of the situation...

don't think it's coming from the shocks, top mounts were only replaced 12k ago.

It's speed related too... hope it's not the diff, don't really want to go into the garage and start arguing...

anyone else got any ideas?

Happens when holding the speed at low revs in 2nd or 3rd (haven't tried 1st yet)
