Getting ready to put my hand in my pocket for another 325iC. The one I had before was the earlier 12 Valve engine which, apparantly gave more low down torque - but the head was prone to going. Stuck in a quck poll, to see if you can help me make my mind up.

If you've got time to justify your vote, thanks.

I said 12v cos

what you've gotta decide is what you're gonna use the car for....

lots of town driving and the occasional A/B road blast-

defo get a 12v for the low down grunt, and more refined low-speed stuff. The m20 is uber-reliable if looked after well (oil and coolant, oil and coolant...u get the drift)

Lots of high speed motorway driving-

either 12v or 24v

the 24v has better power higher up the rev band, and likes to be pushed quite hard-also less prone to headgasket problems.

12v is just smooth as ice-rolls along pulling 4k for 80mph, and I find the engine note less harsh than the 24v.

Try driving both and see whats best suited to your needs and driving styles-its a matter of personal taste-both are sweet engines!
