Lowering 80mm

Hiya,
Ive currently got my 316 lowered 40mm and Ive got 15 inch alloys....I want to lower it 80mm but im not sure whether the camber on the wheels will be too negative....
Also will the sump be so low that i'll probably need a sump guard because its fairly low at the moment...
The 80mm lowering kit that ive seen is made by jamex. Does anyone know what these are like compared to the bilstein streetline kit which is what ive got now....

80mm will look sweet, drive terrible though dude.

even with camber correction bushes in the back its gonna cane through tyres !

Jamex springs= soft bouncy horrid things.

my personal advice stick to 60/40 kits, best stance and handling , OK so the euro slammer stylee cant be achieved but do you really wanna change your sump weekly ?

even with the factory guard its vunerable to the odd speed bump.

I got my dad to lean on the back the other day to see wot it did look like down 80 and i really liked it but if its gonna be bouncy on jamex then i dont really want them...

I cant really think of what else i can do to it now without spending ridiculous amounts of money since im still in school and dont have huge amounts of money.... any ideas.....

at the mo its: lowered 40, 15s, straights thru centre section with bb2 twin tail, twin tone air horn, sunstrip, clear side repeaters...

hi mate, im new here myself and have a 316i too

here she is

im taking mine down 40 on the 15 inch cross spokes, i like these wheels and tyres, though I want to see what it looks like when its droppped down the 40 mil. do you have any pictures?

the guy I bought my springs off only sold me them because he went down the 60 and he is well pleased with the handling from it and it aint a bad ride at all mate. 60 wud be the way to go if you wanna hit the deck and 80 well, on 15's i do believe your exhaust or sump will scrape off the ground.

aint got any pics of mine yet m8 sorry.....doesnt look that low wen u look at my arches but when you look how close the sump is you realise how close it really is to the floor.....the handling is good at the moment too.....it just seems to grip forever in the dry.... 40mm is a good drop its just that i want it ridiculously low which is why i thought bout goin to 80mm..

Not sure if youve got standard shocks mate, but if not then a set of uprated shocks will have to be bought with 80mm springs really, cos otherwise your standard shocks are just gonna get wanked

Dont really mind it eatin through tyres because theyre only 15s and dont really cost a great deal..........
Ive only seen a jamex 80mm kit though.....
does any1 know of any other brands that do 80mm kits

okie dokie..... so much needs doing to my car at the moment i dont know whether to put off the 80mm drop until i have sorted out the rust on the arches and poss converted from auto to manual......we'll see neway.
