I'm about to fit a short shifter to my 323i, and as it started off life as a 320i it obviously has the 320i propshaft and I've heard that bending of the selector rod isn't necessary as its a different size than the 325i propshaft. Is this true or should I just bend it anyway?

depending on how short the shifter is you may posibly have to bend it slightly !!
