Anyone ever changed one with the matrix in situ?

Ive just been looking at the valve on an air-con matrix (same?) and it looks like a pig of a job

Heater valve is dead easy to change. No problems at all, other than avoiding coolant over the inside of your car. (Tip: Disconnect the heater pipes under the bonnet, and flush through with clean water first, and then blow air through).
Second tip: Wrap PVC tape around the valve to hold the little square nuts in place.
This applies to the non air con heater, by the way. Still trying to aquire an aircon one (or two).

Problem im imagining is this screw, no chance of getting a socket on and not sure theres enough clearance to get it all the way out

This is a bit different than the ones I'm used to, but it doesn't look any more difficult.
The circled bolt looks easily accessible with an open end or ring spanner.
What's on the other end of the circled bolts? The nuts to put the tape on are the square ones on the left side of the picture

It is a different valve, I swaped it for a like one in the end.

Square nuts on the back of the one in the pic Brian, problem is the casing is nearly touching the black pipe of the valve, so you can imagine how much the bolt is covered by it, looks a lot bigger gap in the picture than it actually is
